Use Messaging to send messages to drivers

Drivers receive the messages via the EROAD Drive application on their mobile devices. Messaging permissions required.

1. Go to Messaging.

The messaging screen displays, where you can read, send, and reply to messages, and also monitor alert notifications if you set up email alerts as described in Setting Up Alerts.

Use the filters to help you find particular messages.

Note: Show Alerts is enabled by default. To filter out automated alert messages, uncheck the Show Alerts check box.

2. Select New Message to Vehicle.

The New Message to Vehicle window displays. (You can also select New Message to Fleet to send a message to a group.)


3. Select a vehicle.

To filter the list, use the Fleet dropdown.

4. In the Message field, type a message.

Or, select Quick Select Message to choose a quick message.

5. Select Send Message.

You see the successfully sent message listed on the messaging screen. To view a message thread with a particular vehicle/driver, double click on a message.
