Use Vehicle Manager to add vehicles to 360

Updated over a week ago

Vehicle Management permissions required.

Note: Depending on the devices installed in the vehicle, EROAD may have already added the vehicle for you.

To add a vehicle:

1. Go to Vehicles > Vehicle Manager.

2. Select Add Vehicle.

The Add Vehicle window displays with the General tab selected.

3. In the General tab, enter the Vehicle Name (required) and also:

  • Year of Manufacture

  • VIN

  • Recommended for EROAD Nav: In the Dimensions fields, enter vehicle attributes so that EROAD Nav can correctly alert drivers to road restrictions for a given vehicle’s height, weight, and other attributes.

4. Select the Settings tab, enter the following information:

  • Vehicle Type

  • Enable Driver Logs enabled

  • Enable for IFTA enabled

  • Division plus Terminal so the vehicle will appear and be selectable by drivers on their EROAD Drive devices

  • External Reference: Required for Sysco back-office integration

  • Recommended: Specifying Harsh Driving Thresholds can help you monitor driver behavior and fleet health through the applicable reports and insights.

5. Select the Fleet Management tab, and add the vehicle to a fleet by selecting and dragging the name of the fleet from the Available Fleets list to the Installed Fleets list.

Be sure to select the Primary Fleet.

6. (Optional) Select the Drivers tab to restrict who can drive this vehicle: In the Driver Mode dropdown, select Restrict Driver, and then select and drag the name of the driver from the Available Drivers list to the Installed Drivers list

Only the selected driver(s) will see the vehicle listed on their mobile devices.

7. Select Save.

You have added a vehicle and created the vehicle's profile. The vehicle appears in the vehicle management list.
