About EROAD Nav

Driver navigation integrated into EROAD Drive jobs list

Updated over a week ago

EROAD Nav was created in partnership with Here Map Technologies and is an Android application that drivers use for route navigation within EROAD Drive. It offers truck-safe navigation based on live traffic data, vehicle size, and weight data.

In addition, EROAD Nav offers offline functionality and provides turn-by-turn voice guidance for safe driving.

How Drivers Access and Use EROAD Nav

Sysco drivers access EROAD Nav via their TC75, TC77 or TC78 devices.

Within job lists, drivers access EROAD Nav by tapping Directions. The screen changes to a map showing the start location and displays the first direction. Voiceover begins.

As the driver proceeds, EROAD Nav follows the route and provides navigation directions. The map displays areas of congested traffic (red line), restricted roads, and construction.

On the map, drivers can tap the gear icon to configure their preferences.

On the handheld Apps screen, drivers can also access the app manually by tapping EROAD Nav. This is useful when drivers need a route outside of a job destination, such as for fueling or lodging.

The first time the app is accessed, drivers agree to settings, terms, and conditions.

Admin Task: Enter Vehicle Parameters in EROAD 360

EROAD 360 sends vehicle parameters directly to EROAD Nav to assist in route calculation.

Go to Vehicles > Vehicle Manager to enter vehicle dimensions so that EROAD Nav can correctly alert drivers to road restrictions for a given vehicle’s height, weight, and other attributes.

Vehicle dimensions cannot be edited in EROAD Nav.
