Create fleets to help you manage your vehicles

You can generate reports on particular fleets and filter vehicle lists by fleet. You can group vehicles by vehicle type, business unit, region, or any other group that will help you manage them. Fleet Management permissions required.

Go to Admin > User Manager > Fleet Access to grant users access to fleets.

Go to Vehicle Manager > select a vehicle > Fleet Management to move a vehicle to a different fleet

Fleets do not control which vehicles drivers can see and choose on EROAD Drive. This is managed through their assigned divisions when you add a driver.

To create a fleet:

1. Go to Vehicles > Fleet Manager.

2. Select Add Fleet.

The Add Fleet window displays with the General tab selected.

3. Name the fleet and choose the Fleet Color.

The default color is blue. On the Tracking page, vehicle's within the fleet display in the associated color. Regional users who view more than one site’s vehicles can assign different colors to those fleets.

4. In the External Reference field, enter the reference number for back-office integration.

5. Select the Vehicles tab, and then select and drag vehicles from the Available Vehicles list to the Installed Vehicles list.

6. Select the Users tab, and then select and drag users who should have access to this fleet from the Available Users list to the Installed Users list.

7. Select Save.

The new fleet appears in the fleet management screen. As needed, use the Edit Fleet option to register the new fleet with a location (geofence) and create an alert plan for the fleet.

Note: Vehicles within a fleet keep their existing vehicle alert plans.
