HOS violations may accrue for the wrong driver

Updated over a week ago

Only administrators can delete HOS violation events. They can delete violation events, for example, when the violation does not pertain to a driver; this may be the case if the wrong driver was signed in as the primary driver of the vehicle.

Best practice: Monitor HOS violations on a daily basis. For a print-ready report, go to Reports > Create > Report Group: Driver Hours > Violations.

To review and delete violations:

1. Go to Drivers > Driver Hours/ELD.

2. On the Driver Hours window, in the Log Filter dropdown, select Violations and then the Search button.

The window refreshes to list only logs that include violation events.

3. Double-click on a row to open a daily log.

4. Double-click the violation entry as denoted by a red dot.

5. On the panel that opens, in the Violation Review Comment field, enter a comment that indicates that you are managing driver behavior.

For example: One-time violation. Spoke to driver.

6. As needed, select Delete Violation if the violation does not pertain to this driver.

7. Select Save.

Selecting Save registers the violation as reviewed.

After reviewing or deleting all violation entries for the day, on the Driver Hours window, the red triangle icon will appear with a green checkmark beside it after 360 refreshes.
