You may need to add a duty status to a driver’s log if, for example, a driver forgot to go off duty at the end of a shift or go on duty at the start of a shift. Adding a status is a proposed edit that drivers accept or reject.
1. Go to Drivers > Driver Hours/ELD, and then double click the daily log you want to adjust.
2. On the Driver Log View/Edit window, select Add New Event.
A panel opens from the right and a set of orange slider bars appear on the log graph.
3. In the From field, enter the start time for the new duty status.
You can also move the slider bar across the log graph to set the start time. When using the From field to enter a time, the slider bar adjusts accordingly.
You cannot add a status that changes a Driving status. 360 prompts you try again with a message that your change will change the recorded driving time.
4. Select Specify End Time, as needed.
This is not required. 360 automatically sets the end time to coincide with the start time of the next event. For example, when you add an On Duty event to begin prior to a Driving event, 360 automatically ends the On Duty event when Driving time starts.
Selecting Specify End Time enables you to use the slider bar to adjust the end time as well as the start time.
5. In the Status dropdown, select a status.
You cannot add a Driving event.
6. (Required) In the Location field, enter the location for the new duty status.
7. (Required) In the Annotation field, enter the reason for adding a new duty status.
8. As needed, complete the other data fields, and then select Save.
On the Driver Log View/Edit window, a new event with a yellow dot displays. In addition, an X displays that allows you to cancel the edit.
The driver will see a Proposed Edit notification card in Drive prompting them to accept or reject the edit. When accepted, the change appears in the daily log, and the yellow dot changes to orange. When rejected, the yellow dot changes to red.
When you add a new duty status event to a log, the proposed edit appears as an orange line both to you and the driver. In the following example, you have added an On Duty event from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. At 9:00 a.m., the status returns to Off Duty.
