The Leave of Absence (LOA) status marks drivers as on leave and segregates the LOA drivers into a separate category, thereby excluding them from active driver reports and reducing manual effort in tracking their status. This segregation also prevents invalid uncertified logs from accruing while drivers are on temporary leave.
You can find the Leave of Absence checkbox at Driver Manager > select a driver > Edit Driver > General. Remember to click Save after marking a driver on leave.
LOA drivers still display as active on the Driver Manager screen so you can track them. They are also searchable but will show no results in reports/dashboards.
When a driver returns to work, updating them to regular status occurs in two ways:
Manually through Driver Manager: Unselect the Leave Of Absence checkbox and click Save.
Automated when driver logs in: Drivers marked as LOA can still log in to EROAD Drive. Upon first sign-in after the LOA, the driver automatically returns to regular status.
To facilitate LOA tracking, you can add a Leave of Absence column to the Driver Manager grid display and export the information. Go to Driver Manager > User Settings and check the Grid Display and Export boxes for Leave Of Absence.
